Accessibility and Articulate Storyline
Articulate's Storyline product is used across many units at the university to produce interactive and engaging training. Some additional steps and information to users is required to ensure that the training output is as accessible to users with disabilities as possible. Even with careful attention to accessibility, issues may remain. You are encouraged to carefully consider the use of Storyiine and may wish to explore other options that may also suit your needs and be more accessible. For help with exploring options email ODEEaccessibility@osu.edu.
Key aspects of accessibility with Storyline include:
- Clear navigation instructions
- Appropriate use of audio
- Careful design of slides
- Appropriate use of layers
- Design of tab order
- Setting of player options
To assist with making your Articulate Storyline activities accessible, use the Articulate Storyline Accessibility Best Practices Guide, which was developed as part of a work group alongside the Web Accessibility Center.
Note that this product is not internally supported by ODEE or the OCIO and requires individual purchase.
