The Carmen landing page is a centralized area where you can find, enter and manage your courses. All courses are listed here.
To access the Carmen landing page, navigate to carmen.osu.edu and click Login.
Carmen requires multi-factor authentication using BuckeyePass.
At any time, and from any course, you return to the Carmen landing page by clicking the graduation cap icon in the upper-left corner of each system.
Some of the landing page functionality described in these articles is only available for current and future courses. This includes creating an academic course, switching enrollments in a course, adding participants to a Canvas course, or transferring final grades.
Navigating the Carmen Landing Page
The landing page includes a collection of widgets.
My Courses - The My Courses List displays all courses in which an individual is enrolled. Depending on your role, you may or many not have course management access. See My Course List (Instructors) or My Course List (Students) for a description of the widget based on role.
Filter - By default, only the present term, two most recent terms, and the Other term (previously On-going or Special term) display in the My Courses list. Users will only see terms in which they are enrolled in a course. Individuals can use the Filter widget to search and filter for specific courses.
Announcements - Announcements include any news from the eLearning Support team. This widget only appears when there are announcements to view.
Master Courses - Individuals can request Master Courses for courses in which they are enrolled as Instructor. The widget only displays if you are listed in SIS as an instructor of a course.
Resources & Workshops - These two widgets include additional resources for support.
